Lunchtime Story Reading at Maine Coastal Islands

On Saturday, June 17 at 12 noon, Maine author and illustrator, Annie Higbee will read her new children’s book, The Hummingbird & the Narwhal, at Maine Coastal Islands NWR Visitor Center, 9 Water Street in Rockland.  Bring a bag lunch, cushion and sun hat and sit outside on the replica seabird island.  Learn about an unexpected friendship between a hummingbird and a narwhal.  After the reading, participants can make an origami hummingbird or narwhal to bring home.  Books will be available for purchase, and the author will sign books.
