Yuletide 2018…A Community-Wide Family Event!

The SGBA is hoping to include more than retail shopping in this year’s Thanksgiving weekend event. We will recognize Saturday, November 24, as “Small Business Day” and invite residents and visitors to “shop local,” but we’d also like to include events such as the

CDC’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner, the Town Office Tree Lighting, craft fairs,

and other family-focused, fun-filled events on our weekend calendar.

We’re opening up our Yuletide schedule to all SGBA members who would like to

help us kick-off the holiday season in some special way.

If you have an idea, please make sure we hear about it!

Kids’ crafts on Friday or Saturday morning/afternoon?

An appearance by Santa?

Caroling at the Town Office?

Hot cocoa and cookies for shoppers?

Selling Christmas trees, wreaths or greens to benefit your organization?

Sponsor a “best holiday decorating” contest?

Think about how you might be part of this very popular weekend!

Rockland “Parade of Lights”!

Our new lighthouse float was such a big hit in July’s St. George Days Parade that

the SGBA Board has decided to decorate the float with colorful lights and enter it in

Rockland’s annual “Parade of Lights” on Saturday evening, November 24th.

We invite members and their families to march with us in the parade or simply cheer for us from the sidelines! Save the date and plan to join us! More detailed info coming in early November.

Please contact SGBA Board Members Rosemary Limmen (372-8102 or Brendan Chase (372-8063)

with questions or ideas…and make sure to complete our

2018 Yuletide Registration Form if you’d like to participate in any way!
